About The Blogger

Hi my name is Danielle and I am the voice behind The Real Take.
I originally started this blog thinking I’d help give people gift buying ideas but now it’s evolved into more of my personal experiences with a variety of things (thank you Erica<3). From sharing my trips and travel recommendations , quick meal ideas, snowboarding tips for beginners that really helped me (coming soon!), and some beauty tips I’ve learned because I’m obsessed with aging like fine wine without Botox.
In my free time, when I am not working on this new hobby, I like to read, travel new places, play video games (RDR2 has my heart), and spend time with friends & family.
I was born and raised in California’s central valley before moving to San Francisco for college and living out there for years after working as a permanent substitute teacher in Daly City, working long term assignments, daily assignments, testing, translating, etc., till Covid hit. I moved out because there was no reason to pay the crazy high rent with everything shut down and having the opportunity to be remote.
But remote teaching only lasted so long and I got used to wearing pajamas on the bottom half of my body, so I changed careers to be remote in high-tech sales.
Now I’m here pursuing this new hobby in my spare time, learning how to build a website and create a blog for fun to see if anyone finds what I have to share worth reading. Feel free to leave comments or ask questions on my posts and let me know what you think of my real take. Hope you enjoy!
Your enthusiasm is infectious, which makes it hard not to be enthralled by the topics you discuss.
